Charity Bike Ride

Thank you to all the riders and supporters of both SACA and Children with Leukaemia. The ride organisation team consists of 100% volunteer crews who manage the planning of the ride. We are very saddened and moved by the tragic event at this years ride. Our sincere thoughts and sympathy are with Mr Mohammed Abdullah Shah's family, relatives and friends.

Over the years the ride organisers have attended other rides to obtain best practice for safety and establish procedures in adherence with the Highway Code. At the time of application , riders are sent enrolment packs. These packs contain guidance stating the importance of the use of helmets and road safety, including respect for other road users. In addition, at the start of the ride and on route, Marshals deliver presentations and updates on road safety. Every effort is made to look after the well being of our riders and as such, the ride is supported by mini-buses, ride marshals, motorcycle Marshals, a fully equipped ambulance crew and arrangements for food and drink.
